Corey, Jessy and Matson have the distinct pleasure of having their dear friend, Shannon Welch on the show.
For 10 years Shannon was the heart and soul, the core machinery, keeping Hammerking Productions, producers of the King of the Hammers, going... for most of that time she was the only paid employee. But it wasn't about the money, which wasn't much, it was about the passion for the out doors, passion for the Hammers and the passion for the race community itself.
Shannon shares the journey that led her to quit a lucrative Orange County gig to join an underfunded crapshoot of an idea held once a year in the middle of nowhere; how Land Use played a role in that decision; how the battle to save the hammers was won; how she helped build the worldwide Ultra4 phenomena; how the Everyman Challenge really got it's name; how she landed on the board of the Blue Ribbon Coalition; how the BRC is the consigliere of the fight for land use; and why she never wheels during King of the Hammers.
