NEW Overline Flare Options for the JK Wrangler

Since introducing the world's first removable tube fender flares back in 2006 with the original Arched Tube Fender for the TJ Wrangler, not only did we create hi-line clearance without cutting your hood, we also created a unique opportunity for customers to "change it up" by choosing different size flares or removing the flares all together.

When we introduced the Overline Fenders for the JK Wrangler, the focus was, once again, on clearance... allowing 37" tires to run on a Stock JK with no lift.

Originally set up with an 8" flare that was 1" wider then stock, the Overlines were also the strongest fenders in the JK Market with our unique ExoSkin mounting system for the rear flare.

But, while we had multiple flare options for the TJ, YJ and CJ owners, we only had one for the JK.

Well, no longer...

Introducing the new Narrow, Standard and Wide flare options for the JK Wrangler Overline Fender System from Metalcloak.

The Narrow fenders measure 6" in the front and 4" in the rear.

Standard flares measure 8" in the front and 6" in the rear.

Wide flares measure 10" in the front and 8" in the rear.

And each one attaches with just a couple bolts using our unique ball lock joint system that creates a solid piece a 250lb man can jump up and down on.

On top of our one piece Overland fenders and the budget friendly Hardline Fender System, Metalcloak now has more options for your Jeep JK Wrangler.

As always, your feedback is welcome and appreciated.

*NEW* Metalcloak JK Overland Rockers & Flip Steps

So, back in the day, as part of our original Metalcloak Body Armor System for the TJ/LJ we had an innovative Rocker System we called the Flip Step.

Here is an image for those of you who may not be familiar.

We discontinued the product in late 2009 in favor of our Rocker Rail system which was significantly easier for the customers to install.

Well... now it's back. Not for the TJ, but for the JK.

A much simpler version, it is easy to install and looks good with or without the additional Flip Step.

The system has two parts... the base, or what we call the Overland Rocker...

And the Flip Step...

Two positions, the Flip Step can be a low step that hangs down, or a straight out like a truck rocker.

We classify these as Overland, because, while they will protect your Jeep's body, they are not meant to be the strength enduring Rocker Rails that are part of our Rock-Biting Body Armor line.

And they can be used with our Rocker ExoSkins for that complete look.

We look forward, as always, to your Feedback.

JK no longer means Just Kidding - JK Tube Fenders by MetalCloak

As many of you know, our founding company, Rev111, was not only the innovators behind the incredible Arched Tube Fenders, but, as it turns out, they were also recognized as the first developer of Tube Fenders for the JK.

While, as MetalCloak, we never took those JK fenders into production, it was great to know we had such awesome heritage.

Like everything we do, we knew we could develop a better fender for the JK. So we returned to the drawing board, applied all the lessons learned from users across the country over the last couple years and developed from the ground up our new, incredibly rugged, JK Body Armor system.

Designated the Overline, the fenders are truly a hybrid of the Arched and the Overline fenders, breaking the rules and following non-traditional lines.

Once again, we've achieved the most clearance in the industry by raising the fender and flare ABOVE the stock flare lines of the JK. The Red Rubi is running 37" Good-Year MTRs on a Stock Rubicon -- that's no lift.

The quick release removable flares come in 8" (1" over stock width) and 5" (2" below stock width). With the flare removed the fenders have a built in rub rail.

Using the internal bracing seen here, our fenders achieve the same level of rugged rock-biting strength that has been proven time and again with our other product lines.

The MetalCloak Body Armor system for the JK includes the distinctive Rocker Rail, with build in deflector plates and optional MetalCloak Exo-Skins (not seen in this pic).

The rear Quick Release removable flares, bolt directly onto a rugged Exo-Skin that gives just the right about of extreme clearance. Additional bracketry (not shown here) creates our trademark rock-biting strength.

So there you have it -- finally -- Rock-Biting Body Armor for your JK.

Additional product information will go live on our website on Monday, October 11.

We are in pre-order mode, so please call to place your order at 916-631-8071.

We look forward to your feedback!

New Product Updates, Off Road Expo, Pic (Flop) of the Week & More

Hello Rock-Biting Jeepers!

As usual, there is a lot happening at MetalCloak as we get ready for Off Road Expo in Pomona, California coming October 9 & 10. If you haven't been to Off Road Expo, it truly is the show of shows on the West Coast.

This will be our second venture to Expo since opening the doors in January 2009, and our presence has expanded exponentially. Not only will we be in a bigger booth, but there will be a number of other vendors sporting MetalCloak on their show rigs... and boy do their rigs look amazing!

Our focus, of course, will be the long-awaited release of the MetalCloak Body Armor System for the JK, which we plan on showcasing at the show. Until then, the designs are strictly under wraps.

PIC OF THE WEEK...

Here are a few from the Whoops! files... these rigs, each one of them, flopped and then (with a little wrangling) got right back up. The consensus: "If it wasn't for my MetalCloak's I would have had a lot more damage."

Flopped at Sierra Trek
Flopped on the Fordyce Trail

After Ann Flopped
No pick of the flop, just the aftermath.

Dash's Flop
As this customer said: "A lot of the weight of the Jeep
was on the fender, it only left 2 scratches in the powder coat."

See you on the rocks... or not!
