America has much to be proud of.
Our history is truly unique in the overall story of mankind and the development of nation-states. The single gathering of people for the express purpose of Freedom, was, on it's own, revolutionary.
To then form a nation, with Guaranteed principles of Freedom, was remarkable.
Since the Revolutionary War, however, it has been the men and women of our Nation's Armed Forces that has risked life and limb to ensure that our constitutional guarantees are honored.
Today, we honor those men and women. We honor those vets from every service and every discipline. We honor the soldier on the front lines and the administrator in the back office. We honor the Shippies, the Jocks, the Ground-Pounders. We honor the Corpsman, the Ward-Mamas, the Holy Joes. We honor not only those who served, but their families for standing by and standing strong.
However, it is not enough to just honor our vets. For while we spend this day showing our pride, we must spend every day saying Thank You.
Saying Thank You directly by thanking those that have served at every opportunity, and indirectly by living our lives in ways that preserve the Freedom and show we understand and appreciate what it means.
Friends, we live in amazing times, in an amazing country, don't waste it.

Skillz Day at Prairie City SVRA
Hello Rock-Biting Jeepers!
As I am packing up Cloak3, our Rock-Biting JK, for a quick trip down to Big Bear Forest Fest, I wanted to send out another reminder that next weekend is our Second Annual Skillz Day at Prairie City SVRA.
We started Skillz Day for a number of reasons, but it was inspired by meeting Jeep Owners everywhere who were proud new owners of a beautiful and capable new Jeep, but had little, if no practical knowledge about how to properly use this new tool.
The best question I heard at Skillz Day 2012 was "how do I put it into 4 wheel drive?" I loved that question and the willingness of that person to admit what he didn't know. But this is not unusual. Jeep dealers everywhere are having great sales, but some are not taking the time to educate their customers on all the features the Jeep offers.
But this is just the first step. We will not only teach you about your rig, but give you HANDS-ON experience driving over several different levelst of obstacle courses. The best part? Its FREE and includes a hot lunch. ;-)

Why We Adopted the "Gold Standard"
On June 1, 2013, Metacloak Announced adoption of The Gold Standard (Press Release)... a program that allowed customers to trade a 1 ounce gold coin for our JK Wrangler Duroflex Lift Kit ($1999 Value).

Why We're Doing It.
Metalcloak continuous release of new products has spurred intense discussion across the net. Whether the feedback was positive or negative, the discussion was beneficial to all, and, we feel, inspired better and greater product development both from us and others in the industry.
As a company of humble Patriots, we are hoping our public release of the Gold Standard program will spur similar intense discussion on the subject of Gold and Liberty (transversely the Dollar & Tyranny) in this Great Country of ours. As our press release stated, "Off-road enthusiasts are true Patriots and they recognize the relationship between Gold & Liberty. This is just one more step in our mission to build for their future."
Hopefully this discussion will help us to educate many more on this relationship and why we, as a citizenry, must remain vigilant.

Aren't You Afraid of the Government?
We recognize there is some risk in this program that it would likely draw the attention of various Tax Agencies (Board of Equalization and Franchise Tax Board in our home state of California) and, yes, the IRS.
Since our house is in order, we are willing to accept the risk of government scrutiny in order to promote the discussion amongst fellow Patriots of the relationship between gold and individual liberty.
"Paper money has had the effect in your state that it will ever have, to ruin commerce, oppress the honest, and open the door to every species of fraud and injustice." "If ever again our nation stumbles upon unfunded paper, it shall surely be like death to our body politic. This country will crash."

The fact that there is any chance Metalcloak would be scrutinized for using the original form of Constitutional currency is, in and of itself, the best reason for proceeding with this program.

Because we are based in California, there is no clear-cut answer on how to develop a proper sales tax policy under this program. The confusion was based around how to value the product for the purposes of sales tax. Which of the following was correct?
