Happy Veteran's Day my friends. We salute and thank each and every one of you who has served, is serving, planning to serve or supported a family member or friend who served.
Veteran's Day is one of those days where I like to climb on my soapbox and share just how important the day is to each and every one of us.
I could go on for hours on the importance of our Vets in the history of this country and why you can never over-thank those who have served.
So, every chance I get, I thank a Vet and I hope you do too... just like this poem I share each year by Joanna Fuchs...
Take A Moment To Thank A Veteran
When you see someone in a uniform,
Someone who serves us all,
Doing military duty,
Answering their country's call,
Take a moment to thank them
For protecting what you hold dear;
Tell them you are proud of them;
Make it very clear.
Just tap them on the shoulder,
Give a smile, and say,
"Thanks for what you're doing
To keep us safe in the USA!"
Thank a Vet, not just today, but every day.
